Cookware / Bakeware

Cookware and bakeware are types of food preparation containers, commonly found in a kitchen. Cookware comprises cooking vessels, such as saucepans and frying pans, intended for use on a stove or range cooktop. Bakeware comprises cooking vessels intended for use inside an oven.

Just like with pots and pans, it's important to know what kind of material your bakeware is made from. Most commercial cake/baking pans are made of either metal: aluminum, stainless steel or silicone, so read on to discover how they differ so you can make professional choices.

Silicone is the new kid on the baking block. It's super flexible which makes it easy to release food. It can also go from the freezer to the microwave or oven without any problems. You can also pop it in the dishwasher unlike most metal bakeware.
